How To: Bach Party Edition

Happy Fri-yay love bugs!

I wanted to share some tips on planning a fab bach party as well as tips on what to pack for your weekend away to ensure you have the best time possible! ๐Ÿ™‚

So one of your besties is getting married, hooray for them: First things first chat with the B2B about what they might want to do to celebrate with their best girls ie weekend away/overnight/spa day etc. You want them involved a little in the planning but also want to keep some things a surprise, it’s more fun that way for them! Have them send you a couple of ideas and a guest list and then take it from there. Like I mentioned in my weekend recap, read that here, you need to send out the date far in advance so that the ladies on your list can plan accordingly (we starting planning in Feb. for Sept.)! If you’re not going away for the weekend try to plan it at least aย month in ahead. For the sake of this post lets assume you’re doing a weekend away. ๐Ÿ™‚

After the guest list and the date is set: It’s time to start planning out all the deats. The #1 thing I would suggest if you’re involved in a bachelorette party in the near future… This is a life saver! Here’s what to include…..flight information for all attendees (for ride sharing), grocery list, itinerary, cost break down, lingerie/gift suggestions and a packing list. This gives the guests a one stop shop for all the weekend’s important information and allows everyone to be in the know. EX. if you didn’t read the doc you might not have known to bring workout clothes or that one of the guests (might) be following you around with a GIANT camera in order to properly document the weekend (#priorities). Don’t forget to e-mail it out well in advance and give everyone permission to edit. As you add things to the doc send out reminder e-mails to make sure to check it to stay updated.

Activities: Speaking of an itinerary…. most importantly what does the B2B like to do for fun? Ours likes the outdoors and working out so we made sure to have a yoga sesh as well as a group hike. Morning walks are a bonus but make sure to put down time in the weekend activities so the ladies can feel free to nap/read/watch a movie/shop etc. Make sure there’s time factored in as well to share stories/advice with/for the B2B whether it’s at dinner or during gifts. The best piece of advice in planning out the weekend that we ALL agree on post trip was staying in a house vs a hotel (if you don’t have a place to stay, def check out AIRBnB, use my link for $25 towards your stay!) which leaves soo much more time for catch up/quality time and saves money on food by cooking at home and just makes for an all together more laid back vibe. We planned one night for a fab dinner and going out…ask around and get some recommendations based on where you going. This is key to hit up the best places.

Once you come up with a color scheme/theme: Since we all live all over the country one thing we found helpful in regards to planning was to make a private Pinterest board only shared among the planners. This way we had somewhere to visualize what we wanted the party to look like, which made shopping so much easier. Plus it’s a lot easier to shop from Pinterest then it used to be so a lot of the things we pinned we ended up being able to buy, #score. Stay in constant contact about decor and supplies so you know who’s bringing what and can craft/shop accordingly.

Here’s a look at our Pinterest board to give you an idea. Pink and gold, obvi. Shop these links for the gold banner, pool floats, pineapple cups, flash tats, and flower crowns. Let’s be Pinterest friends! ๐Ÿ™‚

Packing and Shopping: Ok so the date is set, the trips are booked, and your google doc is on point. So what’s next?! It’s time to shop and pack, of course! Must haves on your shopping/packing list, body AND facial sunscreen, your fave sunnies, several bikinis, after sun lotion, work-out clothes, a fab going outfit, a pool float and a present for the bride-to-be of course! A few extra things to add, lounge clothes, a water bottle, portable speakers, and whatever else your little heart desires. Keep in mind the activities on the itineraryย and plan outfits accordingly. My best packing advice, try on EVERY outfit complete with accessories and then pack it. This way you have every single piece you need and don’t get there missing something. Another tip, I know it’s hard but TRY to plan outfits where your accessories can overlap, this will cut down on tons of jewelry and shoes. I almost ALWAYS travel in a maxi dress with a scarf and carry a jean jacket because planes are FREEZING to me! You want to be cute and comfy PLUS if your bags get lost at least you have one dress for the weekend, ha but for reals. Throw a bikini in your carry on to, just in case. I always carry my make-up with me to because replacing that ish is expensive, ugh!

Most importantly in all this planning, get ready to have so much fun and remember this weekend is about celebrating the B2B! I’ll be sharing some Instagram pic details next week because this somehow still turned into a novel of a post, oops! What are your travel tips? Any recommendations on where to go for our next girls trip? We’re all already dying for a reunion! ๐Ÿ™‚ Let me know! Loved my girl time and hope this post helps you make some fab memories too! Feel free to ask for more details too!

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
