Happy Thursday y’all! 😉
If you saw my late night post on Instagram you know that I thought yesterday was Thursday for most of the day ha so it was a little depressing to realize before bed that it was only Wednesday, ha. It’s been a long week. I feel like I’m being pulled in so many directions between the house and packing and getting ready for the holidays and work and my blog, ah! Plus I have a few closet consults coming up and it’s party season too soooo, I need an assistant, please send help! Luckily all 3 sisters will be in town for half of Thanksgiving week so I’m hoping to bribe them with Starbucks and Wine to help me get some stuff done! H/M/J if you’re reading this I need you! 😉 But for reals!
Ok, ok, moving on…..I was so excited when Crystal from Milk House Market reached out to me about featuring one of her shirts on the blog. You guys her shop is beyond adorable! She has amazing vintage pieces and girly touches on everything and she designed this shirt herself. I wish I lived near Friona so I could stock up on pieces for our house! I love supporting small businesses and working Moms because they know the meaning of hustle like no one else! Layers are the name of the game around here and I wish you guys could feel how cozy this shirt is. I kinda wanna live in it. I love shirts that have fitted sleeves and an over sized body because then you can layer under them or wear them with a skirt and show your shape. Plus you all know how much I love tops/sweatshirts/etc with lettering on them aka obsessed, so this shirt will be on repeat for a long time! Like I need a reason to wear a graphic tee, ha! Not! 😉If you don’t own a faux fur vest I highly recommend adding one to your wardrobe. They’re so versatile and cozy and adorable. I love fur that has black and browns in it because I’m matching obsessed and even though I like mixing the two it helps when there’s tints of that color already in the piece, at least for me. But don’t feel like it needs to “go together” to complete the outfit. It will look fab matching or not! Most of the time my favorite outfits are the ones that look nothing like anything I’ve seen on anyone else or in a store. I think that’s when I feel the most like myself. So often we compare ourselves to other people or their style…if only I had this or looked like this etc etc and let me tell you something- it’s not productive and it won’t make you love yourself. And ladies, we need to do a better job of loving ourselves. We deserve it. Remember next time you start comparing yourself to so and so; there is someone out there looking at you and wishing for your hair or your kids or your job or your bank account because they think you’re awesome and you should too! Don’t waste your life wishing you were someone else. Life’s too short and I can promise you comparison is 100% the thief of joy. Just some truths to think about on your Thursday! 🙂
