This might be my most favorite post I have ever written!!!!!!!!!! Please excuse the amount of !! and 🙂 that will be allll over this post!!
So I’m sure you’ve been wondering why I’ve been the worst blogger the last few months and the truth is, I’ve been keeping a BIG (exhausting and nauseating) secret from you and it’s finally time to share the news!! I’M PREGGERS! AH!!!! Yes it’s true, baby Weaver is on the way eta October 14th and the hubs and I are thrilled!!!!! If you read my 2016 goals you know I was praying that this year we would become parents and our prayers have been answered! I can not even begin to tell you how thankful we are to get to be parents and that I have the honor of carrying our baby! As women it’s easy to take for granted that when we are ready to become mommies that our bodies will just jump into action and in no time at all poof we’re preggo. Well let me tell you, that is not always the case. 😉 We started trying in September and while it only took us 5 months to conceive, it felt like the longest time EVER and was really emotional but I’ll share more on that later and lots of thoughts on my first trimester as well. It’s no walk in the park I’ll tell you that! 😉 I’ll also be posting weekly bump-dates throughout the rest of my pregnancy and look forward to having you all join in this AMAZING journey with us! Style the bump here I come! 🙂 Prayers appreciated for this tiny little babe inside me and that s/he keeps growing over the next 27ish weeks and comes out healthy! We are so happy to have made it this far and to be able to share this news with you all! We don’t take a single day for granted and know this baby is so loved already! 🙂
Here are some fun photos my sister took of us in our backyard over the weekend to share the news! Our first family photos as a family of 3 well 5 if you include the girls but they were not interested in cooperating for pics, go figure. Stay tuned for lots of mom-to-be posts ahead! And yes feel free to call me mama, I think it’s going to be my favorite name yet! 🙂My sister-in-law got us these hilarious books and we just had to use them in our announcement photos- “dadisms-what he says and what he really means” and “hot mama-how to have a babe and be a babe.” So perfect! We have lots to learn! 😉The girls have been reading up on what to expect in being big sisters and Winnie is shocked to hear she’s no longer going to be the baby around here come October, sorry baby girl! I think they’ll be taking their jobs pretty seriously and I can’t WAIT to see how they love on this baby! I’m sure there will be lots of toy stealing but what else would you expect from your older siblings, am I right? 😉Baby Starbucks lover in the making, duh! 😉 I don’t think it comes as I surprise to anyone that at least a couple photos would be Starbucks related. But I mean we had to have some variety for the photos. 😉 I can’t wait for lots of mommy-baby Starbucks dates in my future! Ah! So much fun ahead! Is it October yet!? Just kidding, we have so much to do! Starting with lots of home projects to get our house ready and of course working on the nursery! Yippee!!
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this baby already and for keeping our secret these last couple months! Feel free to spread the word now ::cough cough:: both grandmas-to-be! 😉 This is the best birthday week ever and we are so so blessed to celebrate this little life! We love you so much already sweet baby and can not wait to see you soon! But until then, grow baby grow!
13 “For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.”
Psalm 139: 13-16
