Weekend Recap

by

Hey lovers!

It is def feeling like Fall around here and this weekend was pretty freaking cold esp considering last weekend I was sweating my face off in Texas! HA! I swear that recap will come one of these days, it’s a long one but it’ll be worth the wait! πŸ˜‰

On Saturday I started off the day with some bible study time organized by one of my sweet friends Lindsay and I am sooo looking forward to what is in store for us this Fall! We will be working through The Furious Longing of God by Brennan Manning and Praying God’s Word by Beth Moore and I can’t wait to dive in! I will be posting reviews as we go but feel free to read the descriptions and reviews in the links I posted. I would love for you to read along with us and share your thoughts in the weeks to come! πŸ™‚ Cheers to the ladies of Mimosas and A Message (are we cute or what ;)) I am so thankful for you!

Saturday afternoon and evening we had a wedding for one of my college roomies in the city. This was our third wedding weekend in a row but we were ready to rally and celebrate. We made a list on the way downtown and realized this was our 25th wedding together as dates since we were dating/engaged/married, which is crazytown. This list doesn’t even include the weddings we went to separately because one of us couldn’t make it or all the weddings we had to turn down because of work/life/finances. It is so awesome to see how many people in our lives have found their soul mates and the fact that we’ve gotten to share in their love stories is the sweetest! AH! So happy for Liz and Mick as they start the rest of their lives as hubby and wifey!Β image1 (3)Their wedding was seriously stunning and the applause after they were announced just shows how much support there is for your love. So beautiful! Seems like yesterday we were sitting around our house all talking about our someday marriages and hubbys and now here we are! Time seriously flies and we are so blessed!IMG_8439IMG_8431Love this sweet hubby of mine and my gorgeous girls! Such a fun night! Shout out to the hubs for capturing gems like this during our cocktail hour photo shoot! Haha, too great! You can find my dress, here which was midi length and I had shortened to the knee andddd guess what it’s under $50, woot! If you don’t have a trusty tailor in your life, what are you waiting for?! I seriously don’t know what I would do without a good tailor! They make your clothes fit YOU best andd can help you save money! I often buy larger sizes of pieces on sale that I love and just have them taken in to fit me because it guarantees a fab fit! #stylisttips πŸ™‚

Sunday was spent catching up from the crazy month of September. I finally unpacked from Texas, did loads and loads of laundry, ran errands, gave myself a mani/pedi and made this seasons first big pot of black bean quinoa chili! Phew. I don’t know about you but getting things done feels so good to me! I love it. Also can we talk about how gorgeous this weeks blooms are? Jewell’s hydrangea game was on point yesterday and I’m so in love.IMG_8462IMG_8470IMG_8477Also we’ve been finishing up all the negotiations and paper work for our house and if things continue to go in the right direction the one-month-count-down-until-we-have-the-keys is on! Hooray! Can’t wait to get in there and decorate! I’m keeping my fingers crossed and would appreciate any prayers you can throw our way that we can get in and move before it’s absolutely freezing outside! Ah! Please send help! But for reals. #dreadingit #somuchtodosolittletime I’m just trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy the last month we have in our little space. πŸ™‚

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
