Can you believe it’s July?! I can’t even deal with it. How has a month of Summer already gone by!? I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about how fast time is going but OMG it freaks me out sometimes! Like it’s one of those things that keeps me up at night wondering how X amount of time has gone by and how am I so close to 30?! YIKES!! Don’t get me wrong I’m at a great stage in life and am so blessed to be healthy and working and happy but I just wish time would slow down a little bit so I could catch my breath every once and awhile! 🙂 I had time off last week while Riley and his family were in California and I got so many things accomplished and even let myself relax a little at the pool and shop with my sisters and go out with some of my best friends too. It was such a needed staycation and I felt so re-charged going back this week. I also have been taking Barre classes again and feel so much better. Because I have a bad back I have to do a low impact kind of work out or it’s just too painful, ex- I loose feeling in my feet if I run, even on an elliptical, so organized classes are a must for me. If you haven’t ever tried Pure Barre or The Dailey Method, I highly recommend it. It’s seriously an amazing working and you’ll start seeing results after a couple weeks if you work hard! Sometimes you can even find a Groupon which is the best way to try it out without making a serious investment at a studio. Go find a free class and let me know what you think!
Ok so moving on to this cute and casual outfit. I call it my nanny uniform because you can pretty much find me in some variation of this outfit on any given warm day. Just swap out the straight hair for a crazy top knot bun and you’re good to go. If you’ve followed me for awhile you’ve seen this shirt and lots of other graphic tees andddd you know that I am obsessed with them. Animals/prints/quotes, you name it, I have it in my closet. It’s so easy and comfortable and cute and practical for my days with Riley. Long gone are the days when I was running around in heels everyday at Nordstrom all dressed up, tear, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to still pull some kind of outfit together even if I’m just at the park all day. Something that is important to me with my blog is being authentic to myself/lifestyle and that means top knots and casual outfits and lots of rompers because that’s what my days look like during the week and that’s ok. Don’t worry you’ll still see me in dressier outfits for date nights/girls nights/events/etc but I want to make sure I highlight the everyday stuff too, like flip flops/giant bags and beaded bracelets made by toddlers. Enjoy! 🙂
