Mad for Plaid

by

Hey dolls!!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far! The temps dropped drastically over here this week and I am frozennnnn! Ah! Hoping the sun sticks around for a little longer before we head into the grey of Winter because cue depression at that point. ::tears:: I want some more time to not haveee to wear a coat everyday, is that too much to ask!? Come on! πŸ™‚ I’ve talked about how much I love ponchos and layers before because it adds some warmth to your outfits without taking away from the cuteness of it. I think over sized sweaters and ponchos look so cute over dresses and allow you get a little more time out of your favorite pieces without sacrificing yourself to the temps.1[1]2[1]6[1]I bought this poncho forever ago and love it. It goes with some much and helps keep me warm which is so ideal. This dress doesn’t necessarily need another piece to complete it and I love it with or without the poncho. Shirt dresses are so versatile and areΒ so cute with tall socks and ankle boots or tall boots and tights. You could also throw a trusty scarf onto to keep you cozy as well. Or layering a big cardigan over top would be so cozy! The options are endless I tell you.11[1]14[1]16[2]17[1]I love the detail and the colors in this dress. Let’s be real I’ve never met a plaid anything that I didn’t love and as soon as I saw this dress I knew it had to come home with me! πŸ™‚ Also I told you my trusty tote is the best size, I can carry my poncho around in it in cause I need it later and still have room for all the rest of my everyday stuff. It’s so great. Have I convinced you of its awesomeness yet?! πŸ˜‰19[1]20[2]I love clothes that feel like pjs and shirt dresses are just the ticket for that! For reals. So comfy for all day wear. Sometimes they require a slip underneath and Free People makes some awesome ones, I recommend them for sure. Check out this and this one if you’re in the market. It’s nice to have another layer too incase you have an almost Marilyn moment, you know what I mean? πŸ˜‰35[1]36[1]

I love dresses that don’t need much added to them to make a great outfit because it makes my mornings so much easier! I’d much rather spend the time drinking my coffee or actually doing something to my hair vs trying to decide what else to pair with my dress. If I really got my act together I would have more than just a couple of outfits laid out ready to go for the week but sadly that rarely happens. Are you good at outfit planning for the week? I tend to pick out a few inspiration pieces and go from there but need to be more organized so I can enjoy my mornings a little more. Any tips are welcome! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!

Madelyn, this is just too cute!! It’s not cold here at all yet during the day, but the nights are a bit chilly, so I am starting to reach for the layers when we go out for dinner. I happen to be wearing plaid today too- but mine’s not half as cute as yours!
