Good Reads and Menswear

by

Hey, dolls!

I’ve been so MIA this week and weekend between work, holiday prep and personal shopping I didn’t leave myself enough time to blog! I can’t believe that this week is Thanksgiving and that holiday shopping/list making is already underway! Where did this year go!? The older I get the faster the time seems to go and there never seams to be enough of it! Which is one way I can help you all this holiday season! Let me do your holiday shopping! Let me find the deals, battle the crowds and check the items of your list. You won’t regret all the time you’ll save for the more important things you want to be doing this holiday season! πŸ™‚

I posted yesterday that I started a menswear project today and a few people asked me to post the list. So I decided to make it easy on everyone and post some must have pieces in every guys wardrobe directly to my favorite store so you can shop from home for those special men in your life. These are pieces I’m loving for men of all ages right now and are versatile for casual days at work, weekend lounging and date night outfits!

MensCollageΒ | Lacoste Henley | Michael Kors Watch | 7 Diamonds Chunky Cardigan | Penguin Plaid Shirt | AG ‘Graduate Sud’ Chinos | 1901 Chukka Boot | Ben Sherman Cable Knit Cardigan | Black Rivet Peacoat|

I’ll be posting gift guides and wardrobe essentials for the other special people in your life so stay tuned!!

I love sharing what my current reads are because I spend so much time each day reading during Riley’s rests and classes and I figured someone might like a recommendation! I love hearing reviews or ideas from/of what other people have read lately so here’s mine! I love period pieces or that’s what I like to call novels from a time in the past haha so just go with it and Belle Cora doesn’t disappoint. Written as a memoir you won’t want to put it down . Accidents in Marriage is romantic novel which totally freaked the hubs out because he only read the title and thought I was trying to tell him something ha! NO! πŸ™‚ And Landline is a recommendation from another nanny that I haven’t gotten to yet but it’s next up so I’m excited!

Any recommendations for what I should read next!? I’m on the wait list for a few from the library but they haven’t come in yet! So by Wednesday I am going to need a new book! Let me know!

Since I’m behind on blog posts this week I’m also behind on my thankful posts but don’t worry I’ve been thankful everyday regardless I promise!

30 Days of Thanks: Day 21, 22 and 23

21: Friday was such a fabulous day of thanks for me! I celebrated “friendsgiving” with some of my best friends and our significant others and it was such a blast! I am so thankful that we could all celebrate our friendships over home made food, lots of wine and a hilarious game of celebrity. I have said over and over this month I am so thankful for my friends and I really mean it. I am also thankful that the hubs enjoys being with all of us and our loudness and girl jokes!

Day 22: So yesterday I had one of those terrible days that only happens a couple days a month if you’re a girl and if you’re unfortunate like me it complete takes you out of commission. I literally stayed in my robe on the couch all day because I was in too much discomfort to move. Sorry any dudes who might read this but girls have period problems. Moving on, I have another chance to say how thankful I am for my hubby hubster who takes care of me every month when I am down and out. Who continues to go out and get me whatever might help make it better or rub my back or snuggle or leave me alone and not say another word. HA! Today marks 6.5 years together and lots and lots of months of care from him and I don’t take it for granted. I am so lucky!

Day 23: Today I am so thankful for my sweet clients. I had such a blast shopping with a few of them today and left with such a big smile on my face, blasting and singing Christmas songs the whole way home. Don’t judge me I know it’s not even Thanksgiving but I was in such a good mood can you blame me?! I am so thankful for the people that trust and believe in my styling.Β That they support me and that even when I say no they bring me Starbucks anyway because they know I love it. The little things are the big things and support and Starbucks are some of my favorites.

Want to shop with me or have me shop for you? Head over to my stylist page and get some ideas and then contact me! I would LOVE to shop for and style you! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!!

xoxo,

Madelyn
