Happy Saturday, dolls!
What a great week it has been! Sorry I haven’t been around much but I think I literally had something scheduled everyday and that includes today and tomorrow! Whoa! But most importantly this week, I have so much to be thankful for!
On Wednesday my sister and littlest brother and I took Riley to Xtreme Trampoline during the day which was such a blast! It means so much to me and Riley that my family loves to spend time with us. Riley thinks my little brother Cole is the best and wants to hang out with him as much as Cole will let him. Lucky for me Cole says he’s ready to be an uncle, HA! So it’s perfect, Riley wants a sibling and Cole wants a niece or nephew so it’s a match made in heaven. 🙂 I love my job and I love my siblings so being able to have my siblings spend time with me at work is the best! I am so thankful for that!!!
Wednesday night or Black Wednesday as it has been known to be called now is a tradition for me and my girlfriends that we like to refer to as Winesgiving! Too many drinks, lots of laugh and the best times with my best girls. I am so thankful for the traditions we have together.
I also celebrated being married to the hubs for a year and a half on Wednesday! I am so thankful that I married my best friend a year and a half ago and for the life we have made together. He is my biggest supporter, the one who makes me laugh the hardest and feel love the deepest. I can’t imagine my life without him and I thank God for him everyday!
One thing I love about being married is being able to start our own holiday traditions! So for the second year I made us pumpkin cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Thanksgiving and we enjoyed some time just the two of us before I had to start cooking for dinner with the fam. It’s something little that we can share just us but I love it because I know we can continue the tradition no matter what our schedule for the day looks like! This year we split up the celebration which is so great. For anyone who has had to do more then one Thanksgiving in one day you know how exhausting it is and that it takes some of the fun out of the celebration. Too much driving and food and logistics makes for a headache. So I am so thankful that this year we had Thanksgiving with my family on Thursday and are celebrating with the hubs fam today. This is actually the first year that it was just my immediate family but it turned out to be very sweet and intimate. We got to spend a long time going around the table talking about all we have to be thankful for and that time is so special. I think we talked about our blessings for a good hour and that goes to show how much we all take for granted everyday but when we sit down to give thanks, the list can just go on and on!
So thankful for my little family, today and everyday! 🙂
Friday I got to spend time doing what I love. Helping a client organize and shop her own closet! She said she felt like she had a whole new wardrobe and we hadn’t even purchased anything! It was such a blast! If you’re reading this and that sounds like something you would be interested in, head over to the stylist section and contact page and let’s schedule something! You won’t regret it! I am so thankful for the clients who trust and hire me to help them with their wardrobes! It’s the best! I also had a blast yesterday doing a snowy shoot with a local photographer with a couple holiday party outfits to share with you all! I can’t wait to post the pics! It was freezing but totally worth it!
Stay tuned for the photo shoot pics! 🙂
Last night we celebrated my little brother’s birthday with some family bowling and more food. I have eaten way to much this week but it was so worth it. Cole wanted to wait to celebrate until my sister was in town for Thanksgiving so we had lots of family time this week but he said it was his best bday ever which is so cute.
I love kids at Christmas and their birthdays. The joy and magic that happens is seriously the greatest. At the holidays our child like wonder always seems to come back for a few moments and it reminds me that we should have that wonder all year round throughout all the little moments that make life so magical. I am thankful when time slows down and almost freezes and there your heart finds true joy. It. Is. The. Best. I hope you all have moments like this during your life celebrations and can be reminded of what is really important.
30 Days of Thanks: Day 25, 26, 27, 28, 29
25: On Tuesday I was so thankful for my friends that have kids so we can get together with them and have play dates. Riley and I had such a blast playing with my friend’s 3 year old son and they became fast friends. One thing I have really focused on while being Riley’s nanny is making new friends and meeting people. He has really come out of his shell in the last 4 months and I know he is having such much more fun now that he has a little more confidence in himself.
26: On Wednesday like I said I was so thankful for traditions and anniversaries. For my siblings, my job and my hubby hubster. Wednesday was such a blast and I seriously went to bed with a big smile on my face. The people in my life are the greatest!
27: THANKSGIVING! I had so many things I shared during our dinner and my list just goes on and on. I think one thing I have found during my 30 days of thanks is how important it is to live a life counting and sharing your blessings. Blessings seems to be one of my new favorite words and I plan to live a life that doesn’t take all the small things for granted and I hope to be able to remind the people I come in contact with to do the same. You will be such more happier and more content if you focus on all that you have instead of all that you don’t.
28: Friday I was so thankful that I get to do what I love thanks to my clients. I am so lucky to have people that trust me to come into their homes and hopefully make a little wardrobe magic happen. Time flies and we have so much fun. My family, friends and clients show me so much support and I am so thankful!
29: Today I am thankful for the creative outlet I have in my blog. That I have the time and energy to write and share all the craziness that bounces around in my head and that people actually read my ramblings. I am thankful that the hubs encouraged me to make a blog and helped with all the details so it came to life. It has been a blast and I love it so far!
As always thanks for stopping by, for taking your time to read this and to share in my life. Thank you for supporting me! I hope you all had a fabulous week!!
