Baby’s Hospital Bag

by

Happy Monday loves!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had my last baby shower yesterday which was so sweet and now I feel like we’re officially in the home stretch since that was the last big thing I had planned before she comes! Crazy!! The wood floors in the nursery got refinished as well this weekend so now we can finally decorate! Talk about waiting until the last minute, ha! Luckily I have everything organized in the guest room so all we have to do is move everything over and set it up. So hopefully it won’t take too long! I plan to take photos in the nursery next week or the week after so stay tuned for those! In the mean time, I got a lot of requests to see what I was bringing to the hospital for the baby and I finally got myself together, took the photos and can write it all out for you! πŸ™‚

There are tons of lists on Pinterest of what you should bring to the hospital for yourself and your baby so I read a few of those as well as consulted with my mom friends who have had babies and know the important things to pack. I feel really good about what’s all in the diaper bag and once I finish mine and the hubs bags we’ll really be all set! πŸ™‚ I hope you love my list! Feel free to reach out with any questions and let me know if there’s something you brought to the hospital for the baby that I don’t have in her bag!Β image1 (4)

I am so excited about the amount of things that my diaper bag can hold! All of the items listed fit with room! I packed it back up and took some photos so you can see how I have it all organized. I’m sure this will change as I get into a routine but for now I like it organized like this.IMG_5459I love how the front unzips to the attached but removable changing pad. I have the diapers and wipes each in their own pocket.IMG_5460In one side pocket I have the wet bag by Itzy Ritzy. The side pockets are also great for bottles and a water bottle for me but I don’t need to bring those with me right now.Β IMG_5461I don’t have anything currently in the back two pockets but think it would be a perfect spot for a clutch/wallet for me and my phone!IMG_5462In the other side pocket I have my Covered Goods mulit-use cover that can be used as a nursing cover, car seat cover and cart seat cover when they’re old enough to sit in the cart. You can also wear it as a scarf when you’re out and about for easy access when you need to nurse. I love the pattern I chose, one side is floral and the other side is striped.Β IMG_5464Inside there are 4 pockets where I have disposableΒ nursing padsΒ and reusable nursing pads,Β the wubba nub and the lovie right now. Then everything else is folded in the middle section. There is still room on top to add more things if need be and it zips closed really easily.Β IMG_5465Tada! The extra pacis are in the striped paci pod by JuJuBe in front which is super handy. I wouldn’t want to not have enough of those once she’s attached to them! πŸ™‚ And yes I plan to give her a paci in the hospital, I know there are mixed reviews on this idea but everyone can decide for themselves what makes the most sense for them and their baby, ok? πŸ™‚

As soon as I finish packing my hospital bag I will take some pics and get it up on the blog for you! Make sure to follow along on snapchat (mrsmadelynw) to see the behind scenes of the nursery, packing and everyday life that doesn’t make Instagram or the blog. πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of your night!

“your speed doesn’t matter, forward is forward.”

xoxo,

Madelyn
