It’s been a few days, I’m the worst! Sorry! But I wanted to share a few pictures of the things we got done this week so at least you know I haven’t been sitting around eating Christmas cookies or something. 😉 Though let’s be real, I have eaten a few so far.
Keep in mind all these pictures are in progress so the rooms aren’t anywhere near finished but there are some little things set up so I figured it was worth a share. 🙂 Also sorry for the terrible lighting. Blah. I linked a few home things, let me know if you have any other specific questions!

Here’s our little half bath/powder room on the first floor. So it’s a pale green right now (ick) and I’m trying to decide between a black and white bathroom or a blush one. So for now I just put a few little Christmasy decor pieces in while I make up my mind. This bathroom is right next the kitchen and family room and across from the door outside so it will be getting a lot of traffic so it needs to be super adorable, duh. 😉 It will also be the changing area for the pool when people come over so the wall behind me in this pic will have a bench and maybe a couple lockers? Still figuring it all out but it will be done in time for the Summer, that’s my goal.

The table is set and ready for Christmas guests, yay! I also added a little Christmas decor to the bar cart. Ornaments are from the dollar store and I strung them on green ribbon, remember that budget I’m on? Ugh. 😉 The house is worth it but it’s tough not going decor crazy! I LOVE my Kate Spade linens and actually scored them at Homegoods which was amazing. As any true Kate Spade lover I had actual tears of joy in the linen section when I found the tablecloth and napkins. No shame. I was that happy. 🙂 And all the girls on a budget said amen.
I know the amount of beige/tan in my kitchen makes you want to close your eyes ha; but until we sell our condo there won’t be any updates in here. Hopefully we sell it soon and I can put in white subway tile and gray and white quartz counter tops. I haven’t decided if I want to undergo painting the cabinets white or not. They’re almost brand new so I don’t want to mess them up. I might have our painter do them, he did a great job on the house so we’ll see what my budget is and go from there. 😉 It’s all unpacked and I already want to switch a couple cabinet contents now that we’ve been here a week and a half. It never ends I tell you! Haha! My little pink tree is in my favorite window of course. And our love story sign that was made for one of our wedding showers is finally on display in our house! It’s been in my in-laws basement for 3 years since we didn’t have a good spot for it in the condo. Not sure if it will stay there but it’s cute for now. Scored this mirrored table on Craiglist and am so excited! This is our entry way and still needs lots of decor but wanted to post the first draft. The poinsettia is our first house warming gift from our next door neighbors which was so sweet! I put the basket under the table for magazines and mail. It won’t stay there but is fine for now. Also we need more outlet covers, obvi.We decorated our Christmas tree on Friday night and I love it, you can find similar trees, here and they’re on sale now. It’s in the far corner of the living room right now which is not photo worthy yet. We’re trying to decide what to do with our sectional from the condo and it’s in the living room for now but doesn’t really make sense so we might have to sell it. Pictures to come when we figure it out.
I haven’t hung anything on any walls yet and that’s on my list for this week, hopefully. Our other nightstand and matching light is still at the condo because our old master bedroom didn’t have overhead lighting so we needed to leave it for showings. So happy there aren’t anymore boxes in our bedroom! All my shoes and accessories are in boxes in the guest room except my jewelry which had to be set up asap, of course. 🙂 We’re turning the smallest bedroom into my walk-in closet/office room so lots of photos of that coming your way soon! It should be done in January, hopefully! I’m working with Meghan over at Megan Meredith Designs and doing a virtual project together which has been so fun! Can’t wait to share more about it! 🙂
(all decor is from TJMaxx and is just re-used from our condo-minus the new bath rug which is from Tuesday Morning)
Roo is wondering why in the world I’m taking pictures of our master bathroom, ha. This room needs to be updated for sure but is lowest on the priority list since we’re the only ones that have to use it everyday. Though the medicine cabinet has had a long life and that shower…ew, plus the bathroom is powder blue. Ugh. It will for sure be getting a few coats of dark gray above the bead board before anything else and then we’ll go from there. I love Benjamin Moore’s Stormy Monday and might go with that. Stay tuned.
I hope you like the pics and the progress we’ve made in unpacking and getting settled so far. We have a long way to go so make sure to check in every Sunday for updates!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your night!
